How PROVIDERfiles Works:
- Provider joins PROVIDERfiles for the reasons mentioned here.
- PROVIDERfiles reviews Provider's documentation and credentials Provider.
- A Client seeking service calls their Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
- The EAP searches for and locates the best possible Provider based on their search criteria.
- A Referral Opportunity is emailed to the Provider.
- The Provider checks their email and sees the Referral Opportunity waiting in their Inbox.
- The Provider clicks the link that is sent via the email and logs into PROVIDERfiles.
- The Provider reviews the Opportunity Referral on-line and determines if this client would be a ‘good fit’ for their style of counseling.
- The Provider Accepts/Declines the Referral Opportunity.
- If accepted, the Provider contacts the client to arrange their first (and eventually subsequent) session(s).
- The Provider sees the client for a number of sessions (up to but no more than the authorized number set by the EAP). After each session, the provider logs in to PROVIDERfiles and enters his/her session details (date, time, duration and clinical contact notes). Clicking the submit button will submit the session to the EAP. and create a payable upon “acceptance” by the EAP. If more sessions are required (e.g. 1 or 2) to bring the case to resolution, the provider uses the “Request Additional Sessions” feature on the PROVIDERfiles website.
- The Provider closes the case in a timely manner and then submits their invoice to the EAP at the end of the month (instructions on how to bill the EAP should be very clear and sent with your referral. Most require a FAX on a monthly basis. If there is a business case and enough interest by EAPs, PROVIDERfiles will consider adding a new service whereby all providers will receive one check from PROVIDERfiles who in turn will invoice the various EAPs.
